The Real Truth behind the so called 'Straw Poll"

Dan Nowicki has an interesting article in yesterday's
'Arizona Republic'. He delves into the recent 'Presidential Straw Poll' taken at the recent Maricopa County meeting. This 'poll' was given nationwide press and now we know why? The Duncan Hunter campaign
(Hunter is a Congressman from CA) spread word of the 'poll' to the national media. We were sent this from a long time PC & elected State Committeeman:

The so-called “straw poll” for Republican Candidate for President in 2008 was flawed for several reasons. First and foremost, “straw poll” forms were spread across the floor of the auditorium for anyone to pick up. Who knows how many times some voted? Secondly, no one was given instructions as to where to place the poll sheets until almost the end of the meeting (except maybe for “those in the know”?). Of the five choices, “unacceptable” was not tallied at all. Certainly an unknown candidate like Duncan Hunter would never have placed first in an unbiased crowd! Finally what can one expect when a Chairman of one district ( Rob Haney) wears an “anti-McCain” button to his district meeting, yet sponsors a “bylaw change” that would sanction precinct committeemen who supported a non-Republican in any race, non-partisan or not!

Great Point! This so called 'poll' was done to attempt to make Sen. McCain look bad. Emperor Haney thinks he knows the Arizona voters;
wasn't it in his District 11 where a Democrat State House candidate won for the 1st time in many years? If Rob Haney and his gang spent as much time going after the real enemy (The Democrats), as they do trying to purge the Republican Party of so called 'RINO's", they might be effective. If Haney and pals get their way, in 2009 we might just end up with President Hillary Clinton. Duncan Hunter will be lucky to make it past the 1st Primary. Will the Haneyites support Rudy Guiliani (Pro-Choice & Pro-Gay)? Time will tell....
