Since Tom Morrissey's ascension to chairman of the AZ GOP, the question on the minds of those in the know was "what role will Mark Spinks play in a Morrissey administration?"
(To those not in the know, the question is probably "who the hell is Mark Spinks?" I guess "who the hell is Tom Morrissey?" would work too- since he was actually nobody until a bunch of misguided "Tea Party" morons elected him as their chairman.)
Morrissey and Spinks were quite chummy as they planned their hostile takeover of District 20 (many claimed Marky-Mark was the "real brains" behind their effort), so it was natural to think that Tommy would take Mark with him to the big leagues.
And now we know- apparently Mark Spinks is the GOP's "Transition Team Chief", whatever that means, and has been dispatched to smooth things over in the wake of Tommy's disasterous inagural fundraiser for Democrats.
Here's hoping that "Transition Team Chief" eventually morphs into "Executive Director," since apparently having a criminal record is a prerequisite for that job.
Oh, did you not know that Mark Spinks is an unrepentant sex criminal? He pleaded "No Contest" to indecent exposure charges in 2005 for a really, really creepy crime.
His explanation for standing pantsless in his garage: It was "far less harmful than drunken college bar fights for which he was never charged."

Nothing says "conservative values" like a political party led by a guy with 5 wives and a guy with an indecent exposure conviction.
Is this seriously the best the Arizona Republican Party has to offer?
P.S. Did I mention that Tom Morrissey is on his 5th wife? This would actually be funny, if it weren't so sad.
