Red-light running kills people, that’s why it’s a serious problem.
It doesn’t matter if you live in Arizona, New Hampshire or some other state. The problem is present at every intersection because they are all crossroads of conflict. Fact is, most serious accidents occur at intersections.
The worst part of it all is the innocent lives that are lost or harmed in these collisions. People who disregard red lights put themselves at risk, but they also harm or kill the people who trust the green light and who enter the intersection expecting to cross safely. The harm done to the innocent motorists is the worst part of these accidents.

The part is the CONTINUED LYING GOING ON BY THE SCAMERA industry and their cohorts saying the RLC are for "safety".
THAT IS A BOLD FACE LIE and they know it!
Despite trying to continue using emotional agruments, the reality is most RLV crashes are PLUS 5 seconds into the red, many involve themes that a RLC WILL NOT STOP! DUI, fleeing police, not paying attention, medical and on.
Yet most of what RLC "cite" are for split second mistakes that longer ambers stop, stopping over the stop line, and non dangerous right turns on red.
What you really get with RLC is a BAIT and SWITCH game. They parade out people who lost loved ones due to RLV crashes (THAT A RLC WILL NOT STOP IN MOST CASES) to try to justify a policy of MICRO MANAGEMENT FOR PROFIT!
There is a big difference between a drunk plus 5 into red and some motorists who stopped 1 foot over the stop line. A RLC considers both "dangeours" RLR. The reality is only the drunk really is.
SO SCAMERA SIDE. THE JIG IS UP! YOU CAN KEEP PLAYING THIS FEAR MONGERING, but more people are seeing the PHOTO ENFORCEMENT INDUSTRY AS THE SCAM it is!
BAN THE CAMS!
FIGHT THE SCAM!

Also for those who like McCain, realize this. He might be in bed with the photo enforcement industry.
Camerafraud had this from earlier this year.

The issue that the video discusses is fascinating to me. I believe that we need to have an initiative process, but I believe that this has been abused. Whether you like the added enforcement or not the cameras in my mind should not be an item open to the initiative process. Houston proves that there are too many mitigating factors that make it impractical and voters are not experts in the issues. Let the councils make a decision that is based on information provided by the engineers that are experts on traffic safety. If the public is unhappy with their elected officials decisions vote them out and put people in that will do their bidding
