GOP denies Rick Romley use of voter data by Michael Kiefer

How Republican is Republican enough?
Apparently, it requires toeing the most-conservative end of the party line, as Interim Maricopa County Attorney Rick Romley recently discovered when he kicked off his campaign for a permanent job in the county administration building.
Romley, a lifelong Republican who served 16 years as county attorney years ago, asked for access to the Republican Party's "voter vault," the database that holds contact information for Republican and independent voters that candidates use for campaign purposes.
According to e-mails obtained by The Arizona Republic, he was denied that access pending a meeting with party officials to discuss his "past actions."
"Voter Vault access is a privilege and not an express right for Republican candidates," Arizona Republican Party Executive Director Brett Mecum wrote in an April 21 e-mail to Romley.
Mecum questioned Romley's consulting work for Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard, a Democrat, and Romley's support of Democratic candidates who ran unsuccessfully against Sheriff Joe Arpaio, former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas and Gov. Jan Brewer, all Republicans.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
It's ok for Brett Mecum to use Voter Vault to stalk, but not if your Republican credentials are questioned by the Party?
I sincerely hope that Maricopa County Attorney RICK ROMLEY opens an investigation against Brett Mecum and his 'shady' activities while Executive Director of the Arizona Republican Party!
Brett Mecum is a total EMBARASSMENT to all Republicans. His lack respect for his position alone should be enough for him to be fired!
Let's see some of the things Brett Mecum has done:
