In a stroke of good luck (or because of his well-connected job position?), State Republican Party Executive Director and hardcore partier famous for being on THEDIRTY.COM Brett Mecum aka CAPTAIN AMERICA of the HO-tel California has had a criminal speeding ticket dismissed against him! The speed camera photo of our hero showed him driving 109 at 12:30 am on a Thursday evening - allegedly out late drinking to do something that stupid. He also ignored the letters in the mail from DPS.
What happened to our hero? If you are a well-connected white guy in GOP leadership with an expensive sports car, you can (allegedly) drive drunk, criminally speed, and ignore the criminal notices in the mail with NO RAMIFICATIONS. He didn't even get into trouble at work! OUR HERO!
Yes ladies, this is our boy representing us in the Arizona State Republican Party. He doesn't just represent women, he looks down on them as he's representing them! The sleazier looking the women, the better. Instead of being out campaigning for the GOP four days before last fall's election, he was out late with scantily clad women simulating sex acts on Halloween. How adorable! How cool!
And if you want some real fun with Brett and his gang, hang out with his roomies from the HO-tel California at one of their fake Republican Professionals events. Although they were kicked off the original board for sexually harassing women, documented in 30 pages of emails and text messages, they've now started a renegade Republican Professionals aka the "GROPING GOP" to trick and lure the ladies. They got a little help from our hero when he transferred the Republican Professionals PAC and bank account over to them after they had been kicked off the board, even though he had no connection to the group. Our hero never got in trouble for that either! Ladies, if you're feeling unnoticed and neglected, the GROPING GOP is the group for you. Just don't expect to ever say no.
Good job Brett! You give hope to thousands of sleazy men everywhere that they can screw around and demean women with zero consequences. We really could care less about women's interests in the GOP anyways, we're the party of white privileged men. THAT'S OUR ARIZONA REPUBLICAN PARTY!

I don't think anyone has an 'axe to grind'. No one made him drive 109 on the 101...No one forced him to take that photo.

I'm a member of Republican Women and I'm telling everyone I know not to contribute money to the State Republican Party as long as that sexist pig is our Executive Director. If I run into him at an event, I am going to tell him exactly what I think of him. If he had any respect for the party he would resign. Shame on him.
I've been to the Republican Professionals events where Mecum and his roommates fell all over themselves drunk hitting on us women. It was disgusting. They don't belong in that group and I'm glad they got kicked out. Mecum is just as bad as his roommates hitting on anything with breasts that walks. Does anyone care?
I'm not contributing anymore volunteer hours to the party until he's gone, and I plan on telling them exactly why. My wife is disgusted by his behavior and I can't justify working with someone like that knowing how he feels about women.
The GOP has a self-defeating double standard when it comes to women and minorities. What about that McCain staffer who just got caught drinking and driving? He's wanted by the police now and it's obvious he will be forced to resign. But this white guy Mecum? He'll skate, trust me. The state GOP is controlled by rich white men as evidenced by Pullen's refusal to get rid of Mecum. No wonder the state party can't raise any money. They're never going to get another cent from women or minorities.
I don't see how anyone can take Brett seriously, every time I look at him now I picture him simulating sex acts. I saw him at Dean Martin's wife's funeral yesterday and he had dyed his hair black - is he trying to disguise his appearance?
The problem with the situation is that although speed cameras are bad and need to go, Mecum was still criminally speeding. We all know he was. And he was probably drinking since it took place in the middle of the night and was such a stupid thing to do. He has a reputation for late night partying so none of this is surprising. Combined with his immature actions featured on thedirty.com, he should resign from his position at the State Party.

This is the most retarded thing I've ever seen. The women (3 at least) are in cocktail dresses! What is scandalous about that? And no, NONE of them EVER had relations with Brett. All hes doing is dressing up on Halloween and joking around with platonic friends. I was unaware that being a politician or in politics now meant you could NEVER have fun.
