President Bush's 6th State of the Union Address tonight...
President George W. Bush tonight addressed the country in his 6th State of the Union Address. The President was eloquent in his introduction of new House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi. He went on to discuss the state of the economy; 41 straight months of Economic Growth in a row, millions of new jobs. The President spoke on the terrorism plots stopped by US Intelligence agencies. One thing that really stood out to me was the fact that President Bush said there would be NO AMNESTY for Illegal Aliens. Right from the President's mouth - NO AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS. How much more defining is that?
President Bush then spoke on the Iraq War and terrorism. He knows that we must finish what was started over there. "Nothing is more important than succeeding in Iraq" said the President. He called for adding 92,000 more troops to the Military in the next 5 years.
I applaud this President for standing up for all of us. The Liberal Biased Media does everything to bring this man down. President Bush is a strong, decisive leader who doesn't just put up his finger in the air to see which way the wind blows. For those of you who want, here is the link to the agenda President Bush outlined in tonight's speech.
One more thing, there was another President who, like President Bush, suffered through an unpopular war and had a low popularity rating. His name:
President Harry S. Truman.
20 years from now, I wouldn't be surprised to see President George W. Bush as one of the highest rated Presidents. Time will tell....
