Let's win one for the Gipper!!!

Back in the late 1970's, I had a part-time job delivering out of state newspapers ('The NY Times', Chicago Tribune', 'Denver Post', & 'San Francisco Chronicle ') on Saturday nights. Most of the customers were commercial, grocery & Circle K stores, hotels, etc. I had some home deliveries on the route (I did the Central Phx route - all the way to Sun City). This was a great job, made $150.00 for one night's work (back then that was a lot of $$$).

One of my home deliveries was in the Biltmore area to a man by the name of Dr. Davis. I would arrive there around 5:30am on Sunday mornings; Dr. Davis would always be sitting outside waiting for his beloved 'Chicago Tribune'. Over time, I got to know him; we would chat for a few minutes. He used to give me a soda or a donut. I always thought 'what a nice man'. At Christmas, he always gave me a $50.00 tip which I really appreciated.

He used to tell me about his daughter & son-in-law. One Sunday am in the Spring of 77' I pulled up to deliver his paper and wow was I in for a surprise. The Dr. Davis I knew was Dr. Loyal Davis, father of Nancy Reagan. Sitting there with Dr. Davis was Ronald Reagan, his son-in-law.
I had the honor of shaking his hand; the Reagan's loved to visit Phoenix. What made me think of this was what I read in yesterday's Espresso Pundit .

LISA JAMES, candidate for Arizona State Republican Chairman was asked this question:

What are you going to do to change the party?
"I want the Party to be a place where we practice Reagan's 11th Commandment and welcome Republicans to enthusiastically support their candidates. We are the Party of freedom, the party of smaller government, the party of responsibility, the party of individual rights, the party of life, the Party of lower taxes, the Party everyone should want to come home to. I would propose a two way street for communications--asking for input from all levels of our Republican family. I would also propose that we increase our volunteer training's, increase outreach to the rural counties, step up candidate recruitment and training's, enhance our research and focus on raising the much needed dollars for '08 in '07 to limit our competition with our own candidates."
'Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican'
What a great concept? I am sure if Ronald Reagan were alive today, he would totally agree...

I'm not sure I understand your finger-pointing at Phil Mason (who I agree was out of line if he was the push-pull culprit) while seemingly ignoring much worse from Nathan Sproul who you publish with another of his many dubious and underhanded pieces of literature. Known as the king of push-pulls, character assassination, and much worse against viable GOP candidates his reputation far surpasses any other in this category. Can you explain the disparate treatment of the two individuals in this discussion particularly in light of your post on Reagan's 11th commandment? This appears to be more than a bit contradictory, and blatantly one-sided. Perhaps I missed something.
