NRA Endorses Congressman Paul Gosar for Re-Election in Arizona’s Congressional District 4
(Prescott, AZ) - Rep. Paul Gosar’s support of the Second Amendment and the rights of gun owners earned him an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association-Political Victory Fund. And now the NRA is recognizing Gosar’s hard work by endorsing his campaign.
“Thank you for your unwavering support of the Second Amendment,” the NRA’s James Baker said. “We urge our members, gun owners and sportsmen in Arizona’s 4th Congressional District to vote for you in the upcoming August 28th Republican primary.”
The NRA pointed to Gosar’s ongoing leadership in the Fast and Furious investigation and his efforts to hold Attorney General Eric Holder accountable, including Gosar’s role in the contempt proceedings and for introducing a resolution of no confidence, H.Res 490. The group also cited his co-sponsorship of H.R. 822, the National Right to Carry Reciprocity Act, which would allow people who have a valid concealed gun permit to carry a gun in any other state that allows the practice.
“As a longtime hunter, gun owner, and NRA member, I am honored to have the support of the thousands of Arizona members of the NRA,” Gosar said. “Supporting gun owners takes more than publicity stunts and cheap talk. It takes a lot of hard work and the ability to work with colleagues to shepherd good legislation. I’m proud of my efforts to support the Second Amendment and will continue to work to maintain the support of the NRA.”
