Mesa, Ariz. – Today, the Arizona
Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the state’s largest trade and business
organization, announced their endorsement of Bob Worsley, Mesa businessman,
SkyMall founder, 1999 AZ Entrepreneur of the Year, and Republican candidate for the
open state senate seat in District 25.
The Arizona Chamber of Commerce
and Industry serves as the collective voice for Arizona businesses at the State
Legislature. Their mission statement states that they are “committed to
advancing Arizona’s competitive position in the global economy by advocating
free-market policies that stimulate economic growth and prosperity for all
Arizonans.”
In their official announcement,
the Chamber remarked: “
Because of your enthusiasm and genuine concern for the business community, we at the Arizona Chamber recognize your potential to be a strong pro-business advocate at the State Legislature.”
The Chamber
continued:
“We are excited to endorse a candidate that shares our mission of advancing Arizona’s competitive position in the global economy by advocating free-market policies that stimulate economic growth and prosperity for all Arizonans.”
Bob Worsley added: “I am honored
to receive the endorsement of the state’s leading business advocate for small,
medium, and large employers. As a business owner who has created over 1,000
jobs in Arizona, I share common goals and the same guiding principles of the
Chamber. The State of Arizona is in dire need of a reputation overhaul in
order to elevate our chances to win business relocations and expansions. The
Legislature needs to take the lead and pass sensible laws that decrease
regulatory burdens, support diversification and development of our economy, and
promote a tax policy that is globally competitive. If I am elected by the
voters of Mesa, I pledge to elevate my legislative priorities and work on the
issues that matter most to taxpayers: jobs and the economy.”
