PHOENIX -- For the second time in April, political attacks launched by millionaire self-funding Senate candidate Wil Cardon against Jeff Flake have drawn a public review from AZ Fact Check. The latest aired last night on KPNX-TV Channel 12 in Phoenix, and is posted on AZ Central.com. You can view the report here: Watch AZ Fact Check’s final report here: http://youtu.be/0NxVbXkDQL0.

The fact check examined a press release issued by the Cardon campaign earlier this week that asked “Why Did Congressman Flake Vote Against the Pledge of Allegiance?” Cardon’s over-the-top charge led AZ Fact Checker Brahm Resnik to say in an initial (April 18) report that

“it sounds like a Saturday Night Live skit…you might as well vote against mom and apple pie.”

As with Cardon’s other misleading attacks against Jeff Flake in the race for U.S. Senate, this too failed to pass muster.

“…Cardon’s claim gets an AZ Fact Check rating of zero stars,” concluded AZ Fact Checker Brahm Resnik.
