What They Are Saying:

U.S. Senator John McCain’s re-election campaign issued the following statement from Campaign Manager Mark Buse on last night’s debate in Phoenix:

“In last night’s debate, Senator McCain demonstrated once again that he will be most effective in fighting for Arizona families in these challenging times. Senator McCain offered a positive vision for rebuilding our economy to create jobs, securing our border and strengthening our national security."

"During the hourlong televised debate, McCain drew on many of the positions that helped him carry Arizona in the 2008 presidential race, pushing for a more secure border, the need for lower taxes and promising honesty in office. He rarely acknowledged Democratic challenger Rodney Glassman." from  U.S. Senate candidates square off By Ronald J. Hansen The AZ Republic
