See the attached documents for court details.
A security guard at the Paradise Valley Country Club thought he saw two women, one member and one employee carrying on a sexual affair in a Mercedes in 1996.
The guard told the some club employees and the Hulburds, who allegedly spread the gossip to other members of the club.
The story eventually was published in the New Times. http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/1998-05-07/news/heading-off-a-rumor/ . Jon Hulburd and his wife won on a technicality because the statute of limitations for filing the claim had run out.
Also another fact about Jon Hulburd is the fact that he has barely accomplished anything in his life. Hulburd stopped working at Fennemore in 1997 when he was 36/37 years old and basically has not had a real job since he married into money. Hulburd founded a company Chaparral Ventures, in 1996 with a business partner John R. Corpstein. The company is defunct and has no income.
This guy claims to have created jobs, but his company Chapparal Ventures essentially was based off of Hulburd driving to Mexico in a truck and buying Mexican Pottery and selling it to vendors around town.
He claims that his company went out of business due to Chinese pressure, which is a complete joke. He claims to have created jobs, but this statement is simply false.
Hulburd also co-founded CD Sales Company LLD with Micheal Dimuria in 1996 and the company was dissolved in 2005.
