Ben’s Blueprint for Job Recovery

Our economic climate is disturbing: high unemployment, a stagnant economy, countless tax increases and potentially fatal inflation looming on the horizon. It’s a perfect storm for economic disaster. High taxes raise the barrier to investment, innovation, entrepreneurship and job creation.

We can do better.

I am running for Congress to clean up the liberal Democrats’ mess and bring some much needed conservative Arizona values to Washington. I am the only candidate in this race who has a
proven blueprint for job recovery to get our economy moving
again.

We can rebuild our economy, if we have the right leaders.

In Congress, I’ll work to reverse the Obama-Pelosi reckless course of spending, debt, and higher taxes that has us on the path to national bankruptcy.Click each blueprint below for more information

Keep the Bush Tax Cuts
With 9.5 unemployment, we do NOT need higher taxes. While the Obama Administration and Democratic Congress push for tax hikes, we need to do the exact opposite. At minimum, we must keep the Bush tax cuts in place. Raising taxes will only cause more job losses.

Cut Capital Gains Tax by 50%
High taxes on capital games stifle economic growth. Tax cuts will encourage those with capital to reinvest in the U.S. economy, resulting in more jobs and business growth.

Cut Corporate Income Tax by 50%
The U.S. has the second highest corporate incomes taxes, second only to Japan. We must become more competitive globally to keep jobs here at home. If Washington politicians don’t cut taxes, companies will continue to move jobs overseas.

Eliminate the Death Tax
The death tax hurts small business the most. 70% of all jobs in this country are created by small businesses. This tax makes it impossible for most small businesses to be passed down from one generation to the next.

Repeal ObamaCare
ObamaCare will kill an estimated 690,000 jobs once fully in place. It raises or creates taxes 18 times. Small businesses will be forced to increase their healthcare budgets, or lay off more employees. With budgets already stretched thin, ObamaCare will make the cost of doing business too high for some.

Right-To-Work America
We must stop Card Check legislation and Big Labor intimidation. Here in Arizona, we are lucky to live in a right-to-work environment where union-boss arm-twisting is not forced on employees. We must stop Democrats from taking away workers’ right to a secret ballot.

Cut payroll taxes by 35%
A 6-month cut of 35% to payroll taxes will immediately put more money in the pockets of Americans. Arizonans know best how to use their resources in a free-market economy, not the government.

Stop Government Spending

Boycott Hurts Students, Too

Rep. Raul Grijalva's boycott may not be responsible for Arizona having the highest rate of student-loan defaults in the nation, but it certainly doesn't help. This week, the U.S. Education Department reported that almost 11% of students in Arizona defaulted on their school loans--roughly 36% more than the national average. And the reason is clear: jobs. Arizona lags far behind most of America when it comes to creating high-paying, sustainable jobs.

"Raul Grijlava spends a lot of time touting his support of education, but apparently he doesn't understand that college is supposed to be about getting a job after you graduate," said Ruth McClung.
"When he (Grijalva) boycotted our state, he took some of those jobs away. Now he's proposing raising taxes on small business owners. Companies looking at southern Arizona see nothing but risk: drug cartels, human smuggling, kidnappings, and a congressman who puts his leftist ideology ahead of the needs of his constituents."

Job growth doesn't happen by accident. It takes planning, an in-depth understanding of the free market, and capital--money for people to invest in new businesses. Raul Grijalva's tax-and-boycott approach simply doesn't work. Grijalva says that tax cuts for businesses aren't effective because the "wealthy" recipients of these cuts won't spend the money they save.

What Mr. Grijalva fails to understand is that you can't start a new business without money. "You actually have to save and plan for success," said McClung. "I don't think Bill Gates or Steve Jobs are going to be affected by us cutting their taxes, but the mom-and-pop
shop owners from down the street certainly will be, and small businesses still create the vast majority of economic growth in this
country."

"Unless we find a way to support real, sustainable economic growth here in southern Arizona, our students are never going to have the jobs they need to succeed and move forward in life," McClung concluded.

Jesse newest ad is now on the air. The TV spot reminds voters about Gabrielle Giffords' record of bailing out Wall Street, supporting Obamacare, and opposing SB 1070. The ad also explains Jesse's plan to protect Social Security while giving younger workers options for their retirement planning. Please help by sponsoring a spot on cable for $20 or reach a wider audience by sending $40 for a broadcast slot.
