Our community college would have been eliminated without Bill Konopnicki's hard work in the Arizona State Legislature. Gila Community College's doors were set to be locked shut on July 1, 2009, but Bill Konopnicki wrote and passed legislation to keep them open permanently.1
Bill Konopnicki wrote and passed legislation this year to make Gila Community College more independent.2 Bill has a history of fighting for Gila Community College and will continue to fight for the College in the future, including its independence.
Bill Konopnicki has consistently worked to increase funding for Gila Community College and to keep tuition affordable for the students and families of Gila County.
Bill Konopnicki believes the taxpayers of Gila County have a right to control their college and will continue to fight for its independence and self-sufficiency.
