TOM HORNE TAKES TO THE AIR WITH MESSAGE OF MAKING CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES WORK

HORNE TAKES TO THE AIR WITH MESSAGE OF MAKING CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES WORK

Tom Horne, Republican Attorney General candidate, is starting his TV campaign telling voters his message of making conservative principles work.

"In my 12 years as a legislator and as state schools chief I have made conservative principles work," Horne said. "I took the Flores English language learner case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to
protect Arizona taxpayers and to fight for the state's 10th Amendment rights to manage our money and our education policy. I won that case and saved the taxpayers more than $300 million. I successfully fought for the passage of a law to ban racist so-called 'ethnic studies' in the Tucson school district, and I have enforced the statewide voter-approved ban on bi-lingual education."

"As Attorney General, I will make conservative principles work by strongly supporting and defending - in the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary - S.B. 1070, which is being challenged in the courts by our own federal government. I will add resources to the Attorney General's office to combat border crime by beefing up the Nogales office and re-opening the Douglas office, which the current AG closed. I am a supporter of the Arizona Cattle Growers' Association Restore Our Border Security Plan, which would call for 3,000 additional border agents, forward operating bases every 12 miles along the border, and would give local law enforcement more tools to combat illegal immigration. This is the message voters will see as these commercials air statewide"
