June 3rd, 2010 Primary elections to advance the party candidates are often where an election is decided. If you are an “Independent” who does not cast a ballot in the primary, there is a good chance you will have no real voice in the general election.
I ask for you to vote in the Republican primary for Arizona State Senate in District 5. I need your support. You can help me win this election simply by requesting a Republican ballot, doing so does not change your affiliation or your registration.
My opponent Sylvia Allen is bound by rigid ideological chains, causing her to place the problems of this huge rural district in the back seat. While urban Arizona may be enjoying a slight recovery, most counties in rural Arizona continue a hurtful struggle with an increasing double digit unemployment rate. Mortgages are under water as home prices continue to fall. Citizens in rural Arizona need representatives possessing common sense bred on common ground with conservative solutions.
I always vote for an issue after considering all of the consequences, the over-all impact on the district and not because of threats or promises to toe the party line. I vote for you and our district . . . consistently.
We need jobs, infrastructure, support for education and sustainable growth.
You deserve principled, but thoughtful representation. District 5 deserves a Senator who can pull people together, not create a divisive sideshow.
I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to District 5 and rural Arizona, and I need your vote to win the primary on August 24th.
Cast a vote for our district in this election. Make a difference for rural Arizona, for your neighbors and for yourself. Please ask for a Republican ballot and vote for Bill Konopnicki. I will not disappoint you.
