Jim Waring Files Congressional Nominating Petitions

Phoenix, AZ May 14, 2010: Former State Senator Jim Waring (LD 7) today filed his nominating petitions for Arizona’s Congressional District 3 with nearly 3,500 signatures. The required number is 772.

“After knocking on thousands of doors, I’m very happy to have nearly five times as many signatures than the law requires. People are receptive to signing a petition when they are asked by the candidate.
They are gratified that someone running for office is still willing to come to their door and ask for their vote”, Waring said.

Mr. Waring was a 4 term Arizona Senator representing sections of North Phoenix, Cave Creek and Carefree. He has a Ph.D. in public administration. He’s received numerous awards over the years as an outstanding legislator from groups as diverse as the American Legion, The Arizona Chamber of Commerce, the Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the National Guard Association.

Recently Waring was endorsed by the Arizona Builders’ Alliance in addition to endorsements from the Arizona Dental Political Action Committee and Southwest Gas Political Action Committee.
