AZGOP censoring comments on Sonoran Alliance about its dirty.com playboy Brett Mecum

Try to leave a comment on Sonoran Alliance about State Republican Party Executive Director Brett Mecum and it will be immediately purged, courtesy of your State GOP. The State Party is continuing to protect this party animal famous for being on thedirty.com who has engaged in criminal behavior, allegedly stolen the Republican Professionals PAC for his roommates who were kicked off the board of that organization for sexually harassing women, and who hangs out with scantily-clad women in the days before a big election having them simulate sex acts on him. The conservative community that elected Pullen is understandably outraged and deserves to be heard. Having this playboy represent the State Party is causing serious damage. It's reported that State Party headquarters is like a ghost town with no one there except Pullen and Mecum. Volunteers no longer feel comfortable down there around someone who demonstrates such little respect for women. Our party boy likes to brag to everyone who will listen that he was blacklisted in New York politics for similar behavior. Obviously this stud hasn't changed a bit. It's long past time for our playboy to find a new career and the State GOP needs to back off on censoring the public from commenting on a private blog.

UPDATE: Have heard the "Groping GOP" (not to be confused with the reputable organization Republican Professionals Politics on the Rocks) held an event last night and less than 65 attendees showed up. Most of the crowd was older; the younger folks have decided to go with the legitimate Politics on the Rocks. Guess girls aren't interested in being groped. After Mayor Vernon Parker spoke, almost everyone left. It was hot and uncomfortable at the location.

I post at SA as you know, and I do not speak for anyone there. I can tell you though that when A LOT of the comments get rude, it's a GOOD thing to stop that. What is the point? I write here, there and everywhere because I like to write, and appreciate th opportunity to reach slightly different audiences.

It is truly frustrating though when comments go from being funny or appropriately critical to just stupid and mean. I'd yank those too and that has nothing to do with an outsider. PM, I tihnk you've jumped to a conclusion here.

Maybe it's time to put the whole this behind all of you
let it go as it's not the point. Mecum is staying and the whole issue needs to stop.

It is time to put Mecum behind us. He needs to go back to New York.

I agree with Gayle. And unless this stops, I'm going to stop reading Politico Mafioso.

Tony Goprano, why are you letting your blog post the same picture and attack day after day after day? It's childish, redundant and I'm sick of it.

And I'm NO FAN of AZGOP....

But your blog is turning into a spot where future writers of the National Inquirer come to polish their chops.

I started reading this blog because I am a moderate Republican and I'm proud to support John McCain. It was refreshing to come across a moderate voice and I still enjoy reading YOUR posts.

But now it seems that moderate voice is being overshadowed by anonmyous bloggers who want to turn your blog into a tabloid and a vehicle for a smear campaign.

Unfortunate.

Its not that Mecum needs to leave. Jensen needs to stop OBSESSING over his stupid politix on the r group and get a life. This fight is ridiculous and hes being a CHILD. Who posts on the dirty?? Honestly... I will NEVER attend either event again or vote Republican because of this reidiculous situation until it STOPS.
