Closed Border NUTZ nominate Minuteman Chris SIMCOX to run against John McCain for US SENATE – One MINUTE and One DOLLAR are all he's got !!
"Borrowing the “Don’t Ask – Don’t Tell” Clinton-era moniker, LD-6 freshman Rep. Carl Seel issued a press release through the AZ House communications office on Monday – claiming that he was hosting an innocent press conference on the many woes of illegal immigration.
[Click HERE to see the press release] (NOTE: The Release was DELETED from the House web site)
It’s been awful S-L-O-W and B-O-R-I-N-G around the Capitol lately, so Seel’s one-man reality show was fairly believable until sometime Tuesday morning.Word slowly leaked out that Seel’s press conference was a ruse.
A scam. A sham. A SHAM-WOW !
Turns out, Rep. Carl Seel never intended to host a private little tea party about illegal immigration – but he did think enough of his constituents to waste TAXPAYER $$ and the time of the House staff who obliged the ulterior motives behind his press release!Seel and the Border NUTZ had schemed to “sneak” Chris Simcox onto the 2010 US Senate scene at a phony run-of-the-mill Carl Seel soapbox-sermon on illegal immigration. Woooooooo-Wheeeeeeee! Now THAT must have taken some real live war-room confabulation."
Here is the article from the Republic:
Political Insider: A mention is better than not

The Arizona Republic
State Rep. Carl Seel, R-Phoenix, billed his news conference last week as a discussion of border violence.
But it turned into a campaign announcement for Minuteman Civil Defense Corps founder Chris Simcox, who announced that he intends to challenge John McCain for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate next year.
One problem: Word of Seel's news conference was announced by a House flack who wrote on House stationary, a no-no.
Smelling trouble, folks at Legislative Council, which controls the goings-on at the Capitol courtyard, pulled away the state podium. They also forbade the Simcox gang from plugging into the state's power outlet.
Seel later denied that he had scheduled his news conference to provide cover for Simcox. Seel maintained that he hadn't misappropriated state resources because he made a glancing reference to border violence before turning the show over to Simcox.
