EXPOSÉ: Gettin' Down & Dirty - Arizona's 'CLEAN CAMPAIGNS' exploited and misused by GOP & DEM candidate$ and their PAID consultant$

The filthy yet arrogant Cover Boy of today's hard-copy of the Phoenix New Times is a familiar DUDE to many recent candidates in Arizona's Legislative and State-wide elections. Unfortunately, the sullied Mr. Clean exists in Arizona politics both in person and in spirit.

Reporter Sarah Fenske goes straight old-school with the type of investigative journalism that used to grace the pages of every major daily newspaper - including The Arizona Republic. We lament the passing of those Glory Days. However, Fenske must know that there is SO much more to tell. Today's cover story is but the tip of the iceberg.

The Republicans and Democrats are all EVIL DOERS when it comes to misusing and mocking the publicly funded system available to them through the Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission (CCEC) program.

Legislative District 16 Republican Chairman, AZ Republican Party gun-for-hire and favorite political consultant of the tighty-righty crew, CONSTANTIN QUERARD, is prominently featured in the Phx New Times article - for good reason.

If any ONE person can be most often associated with the exploitation and misuse of the Clean Elections laws and funds - it is QUERARD. Going back over the last FOUR elections, his name is all over the place. He's been the paid campaign guru and/or a so-called "campaign products" provider of most of the Republicans who have found their way into a CCEC board meeting - on the WRONG end of an INVESTIGATION or preliminary inquiry for breaking the rules.

It's nice to know that you can be Pro-Life, Pro-School Choice, Pro-Family, Pro-Jesus and Pro-CREATIVE ACCOUNTING.

Maybe the local parochial schools will volunteer to teach Querard's version of the "NEW MATH", so a new generation of upstanding, socially conservative citizens can be raised to run for political office while inherently gaming the system.

Constantin Querard's political strategy is taken straight out of another man's playbook......Arizona Lottery's 'Windfall Willie' who says, "You can't WIN if you don't PLAY!". I guess it depends on what the definition of the word "win" is.

While perusing FENSKE's story, don't miss the hilarious tale of the publicly funded affiliation and cooperation of the CURRENT Republican House Representatives from LD-10, Jim Weiers and Doug Quelland, with a FAKE Green Party candidate (minister's wife, Margarite DALE) - who is really a female Republican friend of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Weiers.

As a favor to the Republicans running AGAINST her, Dale changed her party registration to GREEN a couple of days before the deadline to receive public campaign $$ - which would allow her to siphon votes from the incumbent LD-10 Democrat, Jackie Trasher. The scheme worked. Mrs. Dale received nearly $69,000 from the CCEC in 2008. Oh, I almost forgot....CONSTANTIN QUERARD was the political consultant for Jim Weiers and Doug Quelland during the same elections.

So, get out the vote and go get a copy of this week's Phoenix New Times. The Mr. Clean glossy cover is a keeper.

Be sure and pick up a copy at your favorite convenience store, newsstand, or street corner BUT DO NOT LOOK AT THE ADS IN THE BACK PAGES. If you do, don't do it on your lunch hour if you're planning on running for public office anytime soon!

The Arizona Republican Party executives might find out and feature your "ALL BY MYSELF" time in a future political television commercial - aired during family viewing hours and paid for by the phantom donors of SCA (formerly known as the Sheriff's Command Association).
