
Will Formally Begin Campaign for Re-Election as Mayor of "The Great Arizona City" TEMPE, Arizona
Mayor Hugh Hallman will turn in the maximum number of signatures allowed to qualify for the 2008 Tempe City Election ballot, formally beginning his campaign for re- election as Mayor of Tempe.
Hallman, joined by some of his many supporters from throughout the Tempe community, turned in the maximum of 1,864 signatures, double the 932 required to qualify for the ballot. None of the signatures were collected by paid petition gatherers.

Hallman's campaign will focus on the myriad significant improvements made to Tempe's quality of life over the past four years.
His work to improve public safety, turn the city's budget deficits into surpluses, promote economic development without giving away taxpayer subsidies and improve Tempe's neighborhoods have transformed the community back to its rightful place as "The Great Arizona City."
