This week we launched two new ads in New Hampshire that focus on the wasteful government spending that has made Americans loose trust in Washington.
The first ad, Woodstock, contrasts Hillary Clinton's record of pork barrel spending with John McCain's twenty years of cutting spending and exposing shameful pet projects such as this one. While Hillary Clinton thinks it is appropriate to spend $1 million of your tax dollars for a museum commemorating Woodstock, John McCain disagrees. His record of fighting earmarks and wasteful spending has earned him a lifetime "tax-payer hero" award from Citizens Against Government Waste. As John McCain puts it, "If you want to relive Woodstock, buy the record." Click here to watch "Woodstock."
The second ad, Guts, further demonstrates John McCain's record for exposing and blocking wasteful government projects. Special interest spending is big business in Washington, yet one man has the experience to know it is wrong and the courage to stop it. While the other candidates for president claim they will stop wasteful spending, John McCain HAS done it. As president, he will stop wasteful spending in Congress and restore trust in our government; and his record proves it. Click here to watch "Guts."
Whether it is a museum commemorating Woodstock or blocking misguided, wasteful spending projects, John McCain is the most experienced man to lead our country. Please forward this message to your friends and family and ask them to watch our latest ads.
John McCain: The Man to Win
National polling continues to show that Senator McCain is the only conservative who can beat Hillary Clinton in the general election. He is the only Republican who can hold together the Reagan coalition of conservative Republicans, Independents and disaffected Democrats. This fact is vividly demonstrated in recent state polling data. Click here to see a map detailing this data.
The data shows that McCain’s strength against Hillary Clinton in the swing electoral states is stronger than Rudy Giuliani or any other GOP candidate. McCain wins or ties against Hillary Clinton in the swing states of Ohio, Kentucky and Washington whereas Giuliani loses them.
We know that John McCain is the only candidate who has a record of attracting independent voters in swing states such as New Hampshire and Michigan and has the ability to keep the Reagan coalition together. To read a strategy memo detailing these polling results in-depth, click here.
John McCain is clearly the strongest candidate in state-by-state polling and therefore gives our party the best opportunity to win the general election. His solid record against tax increases, against pork barrel spending, and a consistent 24-year pro-life voting record only further prove he is the man to lead our country.
