The McCain Update - June 15, 2007

John McCain was on the road throughout the week, talking to voters in California, Texas, Georgia, and Alabama about the big challenges facing our country. He also took the fight to leading national Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, for tucking millions of dollars in earmarks to a defense bill, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, for his harsh criticisms of both the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Peter Pace, and the commander of our forces in Iraq, David Petraeus. John McCain called on Harry Reid to clarify his criticisms, given the two generals' distinguished records of service.

Also this week, Cindy McCain made the rounds on the morning talk shows to discuss her work with Operation Smile, while Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty made his way to Iowa to talk about why John McCain is the candidate most prepared to lead our country in these challenging times.
