Brett Mecum, the Executive Director of the Arizona Republican Party, gave a prophetic Blog-Radio interview on January 22, 2009 to a young New York Republican, Bryon McKim.
Mecum and McKim talk about.......speed cameras and the ca$h only ticket scam that is violating our rights.
But, that is just fodder for us pions, the peasants.
Mecum say's "If you get a fine in the mail, it's a straight
fine. We've kinda equated it with a tax to speed, so forth, or IF YOU'RE RICH, you can afford to SPEED because YOU CAN GO AS FAST AS YOU WANT, pay the FINE$ and there is NO actual penalty."
A couple of minutes later, he says, "Technically speaking, under Arizona law, you have to be personally served any traffic tickets. So, if you're able to, let's say, skirt (for lack of a better word) getting served for 120 DAYS, it goes away, by Arizona law. It just kinda disappears off the books......There is no OTHER penalty, other than the fine, for getting caught by one of these SPEED CAMERAS.
