Three one-hour broadcast debates confirmed, more possibly to
come
PHOENIX – Jeff Flake for U.S. Senate announced today that he and Democrat Richard
Carmona have agreed to three one-hour broadcast debates, with the prospect of
more still to come.
The first, in Phoenix, is on Wednesday, October 10. It will be
broadcast live on KAET-TV 8 at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and aired nationally
later on PBS World and C-SPAN.
The second will be in Tucson on Monday, October 15. It will be
broadcast on KUAT-TV 6 at 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and simulcast on
radio.
Another will occur in Yuma on Thursday, October 25 before an audience
at the Arizona Western College. This debate will focus specifically on rural
issues. It will be broadcast on KECY-TV and KAWC public radio at a later time to
be determined by the stations.
“I look forward to engaging in a thorough and respectful discussion of
the issues facing Arizona,” said Jeff Flake. “I expect we’ll see why my
opponent was personally recruited by President
Obama.”
