McSALLY FOR CONGRESS
RELEASES INTERNAL POLLING RESULTS
Poll shows McSally
within 5 points of Democrat Ron Barber
Tucson, AZ - Today, the Martha McSally for Congress campaign
released a recent internal poll showing her in striking distance to unseat
Congressional incumbent Ron Barber, with Barber leading by only five percentage
points with 77 days left until Election Day.
The poll, conducted by
OnMessage Inc. on August 7th and 8th, shows Barber with a slight lead over
McSally, 50% to 45%, with 5% of voters still undecided.
The poll also indicated less
than half of voters believe Barber deserves re-election. Findings indicated only
40% of voters polled say that Barber deserves another term, while 41% said it
was time to give someone else a chance.
“This poll speaks to the
momentum and support Martha has been receiving from around the district”, said
campaign manager Bruce Harvie. “Voters of the 2nd Congressional District are
ready for a change from the same old Washington policies that Barber supports,
and they want a strong independent leader like Martha McSally fighting for them
in Washington.”
Full analysis of the poll is
attached.
