Sunday, liberal Republican Chris Herstam, claimed he
saw a “legitimate” poll showing Schweikert to be ahead in the race for Arizona’s
sixth congressional district by double digits. This is just another example of
Dishonest Dave at work, this time by proxy.
This so-called "legitimate" poll was produced by-- drum-roll please-- Dave's own pollster! Dave has been running all over town for weeks dropping bogus poll numbers on a few dozen people, apparently on anyone who would listen. He's told reporters and others he was up 22, up 16, then 11; he's just full of fast moving numbers, but unfortunately that's not all he's full of. Now he has others peddling the phantom poll numbers for him.
A word to the wise, and to Herstam: If Dave approaches you with poll numbers, don't inhale. They are no more truthful than most of what has come out of Dave's campaign so far, which is to say they are-- how should we put this?-- completely false.
In fact, it just so happens that the Quayle campaign this very week conducted a poll in order to accurately gauge the state of the race. Bottom line: Dave is not ahead, the race at this stage is close, and to judge from the trend line, Dishonest Dave may be morphing into Desperate Dave several weeks ahead of schedule.
Bottom line: THE MORE VOTERS KNOW ABOUT THESE CANDIDATES, THE MORE THEY SUPPORT BEN QUAYLE.
Quayle is on the path to victory and our poll reflects the fundamental strength of his candidacy: He’s an effective leader with results in Congress to prove it.
