With the new district lines in CD2, Cochise County is more important than ever. But many Federal and Statewide candidates ignore the voters in Cochise, limiting their outreach in Southern Arizona to Tucson. But talking to people from Sierra Vista to Portal, I know that there are real problems unique to Cochise County. We have to make sure that Ft. Huachuca avoids any cuts in the next round of BRAC, we have to ensure that people in Tombstone will have the water they need for the future, that Ranchers on the border are secure....there's a lot of work to be done I know many of you put a lot of time and effort into helping Jesse Kelly get elected, and we're all disappointed in the result. But now we have to refocus our efforts once again and start preparing for November. The Republican voter-registration advantage that we had in CD8 disappears in the new CD2. We're going to have an uphill battle, and I need your help. I will be running for the new CD2, and it's time to roll out our Cochise County Cavalcade! Tuesday, June 19th at 6:00Pm will be our first Cochise County campaign and volunteer organizational meeting in Sierra Vista. We'll be meeting at the Pueblo Del Sol Country Club (2770 Saint Andrews Dr.). There is absolutely no cost to attend. Some of our supporters have graciously offered to provide drinks and light snacks. We want to make sure there's enough for everyone, so if you plan to attend please RSVP by responding to this email. We need people who are willing to step up in a variety of key roles. We'll also be assigning GOTV Captains in individual precincts or towns. So, please, join me Tuesday evening, and let's get back to work!
