Credit Unions Endorse Kirk Adams for Congress

<>The Mountain West Credit Union Association has endorsed Kirk Adams in his bid for Congress. The group represents 154 member credit unions, throughout Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming, with 3.2 million credit union members. Scott Earl, president/CEO of the Mountain West CU Association said,

"We support Kirk Adams for Congress because Kirk understands the important role of credit unions in helping our small businesses and growing our economy. As a small business owner himself, as someone who has served in public office, Kirk has seen the impact of credit unions on our local economy. His strong record and life experience will make him a valuable asset in Congress."

Mr. Adams said of the Credit Unions support, "The credit unions serve a valuable role in our local economy and serve 190,136 credit union members of the fifth Congressional District. They have not benefited from the government bailouts that big banks and financial institutions have received. They remain strong because of the quality of service they offer members. I am grateful for all that they do for our communities and appreciate their support."

Mr. Adams will be speaking to the Valley of the Sun Chapter of Credit Unions Annual Meeting this Thursday in Phoenix.

About Kirk Adams

Kirk Adams is son of Linda and Dave Adams. He is a life long resident of the East Valley. Kirk is a husband, father, and small businessman with 20 employees. After joining the state House in 2006, he became so frustrated by the unwillingness and inability of Republicans in the Legislature to stand up for their conservative principles that he launched a long-shot campaign to oust the veteran Speaker of the House. Adams shocked the Republican establishment and political class, winning the Speakership at only 35 years of age.
