County Leaders Around Arizona Endorse Jeff Flake for U.S. Senate

County Leaders Around Arizona Endorse Jeff Flake for U.S. Senate

PHOENIX – County leaders, Republican and Democrat, from around Arizona have declared their support for Jeff Flake to serve in the United States Senate. These leaders stand with Jeff because of his record of principled fiscal leadership, knowledge of Arizona issues and willingness to work with people.

Tommie Cline Martin, Gila County Supervisor:
“Healthy forests are critical in Gila County. Decades of neglect and mismanagement have left our national forests in a dangerous condition that must be addressed. Jeff Flake is a voice for forest restoration and responsible management that we need in the United States Senate.”

Pat Call, Cochise County Supervisor:
“Arizonans should be proud of Jeff Flake’s work to protect states’ rights. It is not unusual for Arizona cities like Tombstone to have to fight federal bureaucratic red tape on their own for basic water rights. Jeff Flake knows this and it is why he introduced a bill to ensure local officials have the ability to provide for their citizens’ needs. I proudly support Jeff Flake for the U.S. Senate. I know that he will continue fighting for the people of Arizona and he will continue to support local officials whenever they struggle withfederal intervention.”

Buster Johnson, Mohave County Supervisor:
“I support Jeff Flake because he understands that ill-considered government regulations can wreck havoc in counties and local communities here at home. Such is the case right now with the Navajo Generating Station. Jeff has earned my trust because he’s willing to take on the fight against overregulation, even if it means taking on his own party to do what is right. That’s the sort of leader we need to send to the Senate.”

Robyn Stallworth Pouquette, Yuma County Recorder:
“The base of every thriving community is a healthy economy and availability of jobs. Nobody in Congress understands this better than Jeff Flake. And nobody has fought more to hold the federal government responsible in that effort. That is why I want him to be our next Senator from Arizona.”
