Friends,
As Barack Obama scrambles for an election-year foothold, he reaffirms the
notion that he’ll say and do anything to get reelected.
Most recently, the casualty in his self-interested calculations has been your
security.
Members of his own party have expressed outrage at White House leaks of
sensitive national security information, obviously contrived to facilitate media
portrayals of the community organizer president as a grim and determined terror
warrior.
Then on Friday, the Obama Administration announced it would bypass Congress
and rewrite the nation’s immigration laws. The President unilaterally decided
how the immigration problem should be addressed and in doing so, undermined our
border security and entire immigration system.
The power our propagandist president purports to exercise here does
not belong to him. His first obligation is to the Constitution, and all
of the American people, and not to his reelection campaign.
The fact of the matter is, before new immigration policies are implemented,
our border must be secured.
This week Congressman Ben Quayle introduced a bill to stop Obama’s
immigration policy power play. The “Prohibiting Back-Door Amnesty Act
of 2012” will nullify the immigration policy changes outlined by President
Obama. In addition to stopping these policy changes, the bill will also prevent
any similar executive overreaches from occurring.
This is not the first time Rep. Quayle has taken the lead on border
control and security enforcement.
- He sponsored the successful Border Tunnel Prevention Act of 2012, which
increases criminal penalties for constructing, financing, or using cross-border
smuggling tunnels.
- He sponsored a bill to provide U.S. customs and Border Protection with
access to Federal lands to carry out certain security activities in the
Southwest border region.
- He cosponsored the Legal Workforce Act, which would mandate e-verify for new
hires.
- He cosponsored the Nuclear Family Priority Act to end chain migration.
- He cosponsored the Birthright Citizenship Act, which eliminates birthright
citizenship.
- He cosponsored Clear Law Enforcement for Criminal Alien Removal Act, which
reimburses law enforcement agencies for the costs associated with incarcerating
illegal aliens.
- He voted in support of the Cravaack Amendment that would keep violent
illegal aliens in custody.
Congressman Quayle continues to gain attention for his leadership on
immigration enforcement and border security. Just recently, the
immigration enforcement advocacy group “Numbers USA” granted Rep. Quayle an ‘A’
grade, ranking him the highest in the Arizona delegation.
Ben Quayle is the serious conservative representing your interests and
working hard to challenge the liberal Administration and tackle the issues that
are raging in Washington. We need conservative leaders like Ben Quayle in
Congress.
A
donation of $50, $25 or even $10 would go a long way to making sure that we keep
Ben Quayle's effective leadership in
Washington.
