Colonel Vargas Says Sepulveda has the Courage to Make a Difference in Washington

Phoenix, AZ - Today, Martin Sepulveda, Republican candidate for Congressional District 9, announced that Medal of Honor recipient Colonel Jay R. Vargas, USMC (Ret) endorsed him for Congress.

"Throughout his career, Martin has demonstrated an unparalleled ability to lead," said Colonel Jay R. Vargas. "As a small businessman, he has successfully operated his company for 12 years, creating jobs for Arizonans. As a Chandler City Councilman, he worked with his colleagues to balance every budget, create cash reserves and promote accountability and transparency. As a military officer, he served four Tours of Duty in both Iraq and Afghanistan and led Marines and Sailors in combat. Martin is a true statesman and his commitment to our nation is unmatched. He will undoubtedly make a difference in Washington and I'm proud to support him."

Martin Sepulveda is a seventh-generation Arizonan who serves his country, state and community in many different capacities. He is a combat Veteran, small businessman, community leader and devoted family man. Martin and his wife Sheree currently live in Chandler and have for the past 24 years. Their daughter Natalie is a graduate of the University of Arizona and their son Marc is a Navy Reserve Corpsman who is also a combat Veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan.
