“On this two-year anniversary of its passage, there is nothing to celebrate”

PHOENIX – Jeff Flake, a conservative candidate for the U.S. Senate, issued the following statement regarding the second anniversary of the passage of President Obama’s health care law, better known as Obamacare:

“Obamacare is probably the greatest example of federal government
overreach that I have seen. On this two-year anniversary of its passage, there is nothing to celebrate.

“It must be repealed and replaced with effective, market-based healthcare reforms that foster choice and competition to improve quality of care and lower costs. And, it must be done without growing the size of government.

“That has been what I have fought for in the House and it is what I will fight for in the United States Senate.”

For this unhappy anniversary, the Flake for Senate campaign has released a new video about the disappointment of Obamacare. Two years later, health-care premiums are higher, as are its costs. Millions are left without coverage, while those who have it can’t keep their current plan.

Jeff Flake is the one candidate for Senate in Arizona who actually voted against Obamacare. He’s committed to the repeal of Obamacare so that real health-care reform -- utilizing choice and competition to improve quality and control cost -- can be passed in its place.
