PHOENIX – Voters have a clear choice in the race for Mayor, and a new ad highlights the stark contrast.

Wes Gullett has pledged to end union giveaways that have wasted $3.7 million of taxpayer money this year alone. He’ll use that money to fund afterschool programs that the city cut.

Career politician Greg Stanton has put the union allies backing his campaign for Mayor first. He voted for those contracts for a decade on the council, while at the same time, voting to cut afterschool programs, cut library hours, close pools and raise fees and rates on Phoenix residents.

“Greg Stanton likes to say the best indicator of what someone is going to do in the future is what they’ve done in the past. Well, then the tenure of ‘Mayor Stanton’ would be a frightening one where taxpayer giveaways to the unions come before Phoenix kids and families,” said Gullett spokesman Daniel Scarpinato. “It’s no wonder the unions are pouring tens of thousands of dollars into Greg Stanton’s campaign.”
