From the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix website:
Red White & Blue Veterans Mass
Date: Friday, November 11, 2011
Start Time: 1:00 pm End Time: 3:00 pm
Mass honoring our Veterans, 1 p.m. at St. Maria Goretti Parish, 6261 N. Granite Reef Road in Scottsdale.
Those who serve our country have a calling of the highest order. It is fitting that we not only celebrate their service, but pray for their continued safety, their families and for those who have given their lives in both past and recent conflicts. The Phoenix area is home to a large veteran population, with many families of military servicemen and servicewomen as Catholic parishioners.
Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA will be the homilist and will concelebrate Mass with Phoenix Auxiliary Bishop Eduardo Nevares. Reception follows.
My personal note - Thanks to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix for honoring those who have served and are still serving.
Peace,
Jon C. Altmann
