Wes Gullett for Phoenix Mayor: We continue to build Wesmentum (aka Momentum)

Friends,

Our message of reforming City Hall continues to gain momentum.

How do we know? Because the entrenched special interests at City Hall are coming out full-throttle to support my opponent.

Yesterday, Mayor Phil Gordon announced that he's endorsed my opponent. Why? Stanton's support for continuing the food tax, water rate increases, pension abuse and $3.7 million in taxpayer dollars being used for union lobbying and political work. In essence, his broad support for the status quo.

$3.7 Million Reasons to Vote for Wes

The Goldwater Institute's blockbuster report on the $3.7 million the city pays union bosses every year has got people shaking their heads in utter disbelief all across the city. If you've seen the new Stanton road signs put up by the unions, you'll know the only thing more stunning - if Greg Stanton is elected the price tag will keep going up and the taxpayers will foot the bill.

We're calling this $3.7 million reasons to vote for Wes Gullett! Read the Goldwater report here.

Stanton hopes for Obama's 2nd stimulus plan

As the Arizona Republic reported this morning, at the University Club debate last night I continued to speak out for my government reform agenda of reducing government, cutting red tape and cutting taxes.

My opponent continued his crusade for the status quo: more government, more spending and more union control of City Hall. He even endorsed President Obama’s proposed second federal stimulus bill. I reminded him that the first one didn’t work, and only added to our federal deficit and our children’s debt.

Stanton's "hypocrisy knows no bounds"

The quote of the week comes from the Arizona Guardian, which illustrates the hypocrisy of my opponent: "Stanton, who is a former lobbyist, has also used his campaign to slam his opponent, Wes Gullett, for being a lobbyist."

Taxpayers Support Wes Gullett

The voters I meet every day are tired of politics as usual, sick over pension abuse, and exhausted by the status quo; they want the next Mayor to have a laser focus on job creation and getting government out of the way.

My opponent may have the support of the City Hall insiders and establishment, but I’m proud to have your support! Working together we can shake up the status quo, and get Phoenix working again!

As always, thank you for steadfast support.

Sincerely,

Wes

P.S. 35 Days Left: We are in it to win it!! We are in the crunch time folks, and it's now or never if we are going to have the resources to pull this off!
