In Memory of GOLDA O. KERL 1921 - 2011

It is with deep sadness that we have to announce the death of longtime Arizona Republican Party volunteer GOLDA KERL.

Golda was THE hardest working Republican I have ever seen!  In the 2004 campaign for the re-election of President George W. Bush, Golda was out there EVERY DAY working hard for the President!
Golda and her husband moved from Palm Springs, CA in the early 1970's.  She registered over 30,000 new voters to the rolls in Arizona!

Golda Kerl was a Delegate to many National Republican Conventions, the last in 2004.

She was the LD-6 Republican 1st Vice-Chairman for many years.  All who knew Golda loved her.  A kinder soul you would never meet.

Golda went to Eternal Life on May 19, 2011. She is survived by her daughter Laurie McCall, son, Ron (Sheryl) Binger, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was born in Huxton, CO on March 9, 1921. She was a posse member and Sheriff Joe referred to her as one of his "Golden Girls", there were three of them. She was a posse member since 1994 and won numerous awards. She was part of the Executive Posse. Golda was also very active in the Republican Party and could often be found at the Headquarters stuffing envelopes.

Peggy Bilsten called Golda her "Street Walker"! She walked the streets for signatures for many of the candidates. She received many Presidential Party awards. She has been a delegate many times and enjoyed the conventions. She will be missed.

A visitation will be held on at 9:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 28, 2011 with funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary 200 West Beardsley Rd. Phoenix, Arizona. Please visit www.phoenixmemorialmortuary.com
