The Tea Party Should Draft Hilary Clinton

Now wait a minute... hear me out.

I was reading this article the other day when the idea hit me.

The Tea Party should draft Hillary Clinton to run against Barack Obama in 2012.

Despite my difference with the Tea Party folk, I think we could all agree that Obama's presidency has been disastrous, to say the least.

And I'm certainly no fan of Hilary Clinton, but I think we could also agree that in a Clinton vs. Obama match-up, Clinton is the lesser of the evils.

Assuming that the Republican Party can correct itself in advance of 2012 (hence the strong focus on getting the feckless/incompetent Tom Morrissey out of office before then), I think that the GOP nominee will win in 2012. I certainly intend to do everything in my power to see to it that they do.

But, in the chance that the Republicans do lose, I'd love to see Clinton as an insurance policy against 4 more years of Obama.

The Tea Party people are always saying they are "non-partisan". Hell, Michelle Bachmann even mentioned supposed "fair minded Democrats" in the Tea Party when she was in town the other day. And since the Tea Party is ultimately responsible for the sorry state of the GOP in Arizona, I think you owe it to the rest of us to convince Clinton to run.

At a minimum it would force Obama to spend some of his Billion dollars in the primary.

So what do you say? Draft Hillary?

Great idea! Then, we can count on your signature? Even though we are of different political persuasions, we do have a shared agenda of defeating Obama. How about an alliance?
