Looks like former AZ GOP Chairman RANDY PULLEN threw ROB HANEY and the MCRC 'Under the Bus' in his testimony back in 2009 during the SCA investigation:
"I asked where the idea for Arizonans For Public Safety came from. Randy Pullen said what he wanted to do was set up a county PAC for Maricopa County races. The Party would seed fund the PAC, which would then drive more contributions to Arizonans For Public Safety. THE REASON IT WAS SET UP FOR MARICOPA COUNTY RACES IS THAT THE MARICOPA COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY IS INEFFECTIVE! Other county parties do a much better job of helping their candidates. Randy Pullen said Pima County & Yavapai County are much better at supporting their own county races."
