Phoenix, Arizona -- Louisiana Republican governor Bobby Jindal today endorsed Rep. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), who is running for the U.S. Senate.

"Jeff Flake has been, and continues to be, a leading voice on fiscal sanity in Congress. With mountains of debt and deficits as far as the eye can see, Jeff Flake is the perfect guy to be in the U.S. Senate. I’m proud to endorse him,” said Jindal.

“Governor Jindal is a rising star in the Republican party,” said Flake, "As the Governor of Louisiana, he has shown leadership and common sense in dealing with difficult challenges. I’m honored to have his support.”

Congressman Flake represents Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District. He announced his candidacy for the United States Senate last month and has quickly received the endorsements of several leading conservative organizations and leaders, including the Club for Growth PAC, FreedomWorks PAC, the National Taxpayers Union Campaign Fund, Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife, Congressman Paul Ryan, and Senators Pat Toomey and Mike Lee. Governor Jindal  headlined a fundraising event for Congressman Flake in Arizona last evening.
