Senate Democrats Reject Attempt to Repeal Health Spending Bill

Senate Democrats Reject Attempt to Repeal Health Spending Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senate Democrats today rejected an attempt by Senate Republicans to repeal the unconstitutional health spending bill despite overwhelming support for repeal among the American people. U.S. Senate Republican Whip Jon Kyl made the following statement:

“Senate Republicans today made good on their promise to the American people to try to repeal the unconstitutional health spending bill known as Obamacare.

“Americans want health-care reform; but they rightly, and overwhelmingly, rejected the massive government takeover of the nation’s health-care system that Democrats rammed through in the last Congress.

“Now, rather than listening to the will of the voters, Senate Democrats have made clear that they are committed to preventing the replacement of Obamacare with real reforms that improve care, respect the physician-patient relationship, lower costs, and increase access without creating job-killing taxes and increasing the size of the federal government.”

Sen. Jon Kyl is the Senate Republican Whip and serves on the Senate Finance and Judiciary committees. Visit his website at www.kyl.senate.gov or his YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/senjonkyl.
