FOX 10 has tried to talk to him for months

PHOENIX - We've has received a ton of feedback on a story we brought you Thursday night about an encounter Kari Lake had with the mayor when she ran into him outside his office.
FOX 10 has been trying to get an interview with the mayor since the last time he appeared on our newscast, back in October.
We have been looking at the city's spending, examining the city budget, trying to see if taxpayer money is being spent wisely, and we wanted the mayor to weigh in.
But for some reason, Mayor Phil Gordon does not want to talk.
In the past three months, we've sent dozens of interview requests. One week, we sent four requests via email, and at least three via text, and were denied each time.
This email reply dated the 19 of November says in part: "We're going to decline your interview request for the foreseeable future."
Another reads: "I'll let you know when the mayor is available."
Some of the requests never even got responses.
