YAVAPAI COUNTY SHERIFF ENDORSES TOM HORNE FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL

YAVAPAI COUNTY SHERIFF ENDORSES HORNE FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL

PHOENIX – The list of Arizona Sheriffs endorsing Republican Tom Horne for Attorney General keeps growing with today's announcement that Sheriff Steve Waugh of Yavapai County is supporting Horne.

"Tom Horne is clearly the most capable candidate for Attorney General," said Waugh. “As Yavapai County Sheriff, I'm very concerned about the activity of drug cartels operating in Arizona, the scourge of methamphetamine use and the movement of illegal immigrants through our entire state. Tom Horne is committed to working with sheriffs and local law enforcement to combat these serious and growing problems. He is also a supporter of S.B. 1070 and will vigorously defend it in federal court. Arizona needs a tough, dedicated Attorney General for the difficult days ahead and Tom Horne is the best person for the job."

Horne added, “I am honored and grateful for Sheriff Waugh's support in this campaign. It is important that I have the confidence of the law enforcement professionals like Sheriff Waugh who, along with the men and women who patrol our streets every day, put their lives on the line to keep Arizonans safe. Sheriff Waugh knows the law enforcement challenges we face and I look forward to working with him as Attorney General. I thank him for his generous support."
