AZ REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATES UPDATE for Monday October 25, 2010

Why Is Hulburd Still Hiding?

Jon Hulburd apparently likes to dish out the criticism and play tough, including gossip, slander and fraud, but doesn’t appreciate even the mildest scrutiny when it’s directed at him. When a reporter finally got around to asking this carefully packaged candidate some straightforward questions, Hulburd and his campaign disappeared and refused to answer. The reporter tried to get Hulburd to answer legitimate questions about his background and his candidacy but was ignored.

See the link below but here are the issues: Five Questions Congressional Candidate Jon Hulburd Doesn't Want you to Ask

Hulburd supports Nancy Pelosi, will cast his first vote for her as Speaker of the House and has accepted maximum contributions from Pelosi to his campaign. Source: AZCentral.com

Hulburd will not vote to repeal Obamacare, and refused to answer when The Arizona Republic asked how he would have voted on it. Source: AZCentral.com

Hulburd himself suggests that voters need answers: "They deserve straight answers and I will continue being straightforward with the people of Arizona about my priorities.”

His main priority seems to be avoiding questions. Well Jon, here is your opportunity to provide “straight answers.”

Please call Jon Hulburd at 602.717.1939 or e-mail his Communications Director, Josh Abner, at Josh@hulburdforcongress.com and demand answers to these very serious questions.

Ben Quayle stands for limited government, lower taxes and other economic policies that will stop growing government and start growing the private sector. Ben Quayle will put Arizonans first and uphold the conservative principles that Congressman John Shadegg fought for during his tenure in Congress.

Phoenix Dem: Grijalva Will Steal Election!

For Immediate Release
Saturday, October 23rd, 2010.

This week, reports of widespread voter fraud began to surface in Arizona's 7th Congressional District, home to Progressive Caucus Co-Chair Raul Grijalva and his political machine. Extremist SEIU activists--hiding under the auspices of a recently created Arizona PAC--have been canvassing the district, attempting to put thousands of ineligible voters on the roles before election day.

Now there's confirmation from the Assistant Leader of the Democratic Caucus in the Arizona House of Representatives. On a KPNX-12 TV roundtable, Krysten Sinema (D-LD 15) says, "I do think he (Grijalva) will be able to pull it out though with his, you know, 'notorious' political machine."

You can see the roundtable for yourself here. (Sinema's quote begins around the 1:50 mark).

Even a district with a 2-1 Democratic voter advantage isn't enough for these shady activists. Raul Grijalva's extremist policies, his disregard for the voters in district 7, and his call for a boycott of Arizona have made his re-election bid unexpectedly challenging. These activists will stop at nothing to keep their meal ticket safely doodling away taxpayer dollars in the halls of congress.

Now we know what stop at nothing really means. Welcome to the big leagues, Arizona, Grijalva's minions are trying to throw you a spitball.

ICYMI: Dr. Gosar Leads Kirkpatrick Among Small Business Owners

PRESCOTT, AZ – In yesterday’s Prescott Daily Courier David Maurer, CEO of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce, highlighted Dr. Paul Gosar’s strength among small business owners in Prescott. As the engine of Arizona’s economy, small business owners are key to creating jobs and growing the economy. Momentum continues to build behind Dr. Gosar because, as a small business owner and healthcare provider, he has experience in creating jobs and operating on a budget.

Here is article in the Prescott Daily Courier:

Election Polling

If chamber members are any indication, several key races won't be close when election results are reported Nov. 2.

The chamber ran two straw poll surveys of its members. The first survey was conducted in early September; the second ran in early October. The results are non-scientific and based solely on those members who took the online poll. The September survey was taken by 101 members and the October survey was taken by 88 members. . . .
For U.S. House, Dr. Paul Gosar received 69 percent of the votes versus 23 percent for Ann Kirkpatrick. In September, Gosar had 70 percent and Kirkpatrick 18 percent. . .
