GOV. BREWER ENDORSES YES ON 106;
BREWER STANDS STRONG FOR HEALTH CARE FREEDOM

Phoenix, AZ – With early voting for the November 2nd election drawing near, the Yes on 106 campaign has picked up another key endorsement from the ranks of ObamaCare opponents: Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer.

Brewer, who often speaks out against Washington’s 2,400-page health care law on the campaign trail, has made it clear that a “yes” vote on Proposition 106 is a must for Arizonans who value liberty and who don’t want to see their decision-making power on health care sacrificed in favor of a growing federal bureaucracy.

“In my years serving the public in elected office, I have seen firsthand what happens when the federal government fails to do its job,” Brewer wrote in the ballot argument she submitted for Yes on 106.
“Inevitably, federal failures result in a loss of freedom, increased burdens on taxpayers, businesses and state government and a massive amount of misdirected resources. … This law creates unprecedented new burdens on the state of Arizona and its citizens – and it puts government in the middle of important health care
decisions, instead of patients, families and doctors. A yes vote on 106 is a vote against the mandate by President Obama and the Democratic Congress, who with ObamaCare have given the IRS the power to fine Americans who don’t buy insurance.”

Phoenix surgeon Dr. Eric Novack, chairman of Arizonans for Health Care Freedom and the author of Proposition 106, said he welcomes the Governor’s support.

“Right now, she’s the most popular political figure in Arizona, so that absolutely has to help our campaign,” he said. “And she gets it: Voting yes on 106 sends a message even Washington can’t miss: The federal government should never mandate that every citizen pay money for a private service. Nor should they enforce that law by making the IRS the collection agency for a private industry. That’s simply wrong – and a theft of our freedom.”
