QUAYLE TO OPPONENT: GLAD YOU BROUGHT THAT UP

PHOENIX (September 8, 2010) -- Republican Congressional Candidate Ben Quayle, responding to his opponent’s attack ad on Christian radio regarding morality, began airing his own ad today drawing some clear distinctions between the candidates on various social issues.

“As the ad states,” said Quayle Communications Director Jay Heiler, “it’s surprising the man has raised the subject, but I’m glad he did. We’re a long way from San Francisco, and it’s a tough election cycle for a limousine liberal carrying around maximum contributions from Nancy Pelosi and the SEIU.”

“It’s obvious that he’s trying to re-invent himself for a campaign,” continued Heiler, “but that $9,000 will speak more loudly to voters than all the millions Hulburd can spend.”

“The SEIU is a politicized left-wing union organization leading a boycott effort against Arizona over SB 1070,” said Quayle. “My
opponent should renounce its support and provide a full and immediate explanation to the people of Arizona as to why he runs with a crowd seeking to hurt the people of our state.”

Quayle called on Hulburd a week ago to renounce the support of the SEIU and other left-wing union organizations promoting a boycott against Arizona, but to date he has not.

In the ad Ben Quayle’s strong conservative stance on social issues is contrasted with John Hulburd’s record of support for left-wing unions, abortion advocacy, gay marriage and Obamacare.

“Ben Quayle’s opponent is just another Nancy Pelosi liberal with a phony message to hide it,” says a woman’s voice in narration. It will air widely in Phoenix.

Bad News Continues for Big Spender Ann Kirkpatrick.

Prescott, AZ: Momentum continues to grow for Dr. Paul Gosar as the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announces he has reached ‘Young Gun’ status, the premiere level of its three-tiered Young Guns program.

“Paul Gosar is ready to take on incumbent Ann Kirkpatrick,
an out-of-touch Democrat who has recklessly supported her party’s runaway spending spree which has led to unacceptably high unemployment and joblessness,” said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX).

The announcement by the NRCC comes on the heels of a poll released last week conducted for American Action Forum showing Dr. Gosar leading big spender Ann Kirkpatrick by six percentage points (Click Here).

“Our internal polls show us leading Kirkpatrick as well. Voters are fed up with her support of Obama and Pelosi’s big spending policies like the failed stimulus and nationalized healthcare,” said Dr. Gosar “ Ann Kirkpatrick can run and hide from her constituents, like she did in Holbrook, but she cannot hide from her record.”

The program was founded in the 2007-2008 election cycle by Reps. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Paul Ryan (R-WI), the Young Guns program is designed to assist Republican candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives achieve goals and benchmarks throughout the election cycle focused on the fundamentals of a winning campaign.

Dr. Gosar, a former Arizona “Dentist of the Year”, a 25 year resident of Flagstaff, a father of three and a sports and hunting enthusiast has been traveling all over Congressional District One for the past several months and has enjoyed meeting with voters across the District who share his belief that his background, and his experience in rural Arizona’s way of life have positioned him well to defeat Rep. Kirkpatrick in November.

The Gloves Are Off…

Not surprisingly, the campaign of liberal Congressman Harry Mitchell launched their first attack ad this morning against David Schweikert.

Mitchell swings and not surprisingly misses in his desperate attempt to convince voters to ignore his shockingly liberal record of raising taxes, voting for ObamaCare, voting for the failed stimulus and even voting to spend billions to bailout Wall Street.

I need to know if I can count on your help right now, in the next few minutes?
Yesterday, we achieved a critical fundraising benchmark, and we are 1/3 of the way to our 72-hour goal. Can each of us play our part today? We all give what we can - - that’s why yesterday we received so many $10, $100, and $1,000 contributions.

Congressman Mitchell will do everything he can to distract us from his rubber stamp record of supporting the Obama-Pelosi agenda, and that includes misleading voters with distractions, half-truths, and yes, even outright lies.

But that’s okay. The voters of Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District will soon be hearing from us!
We know what this race is about and we are ready for the fight.

Because it’s a fight we must win to stop the dangerous and devastating liberal policies being pushed by Mitchell and Pelosi that threaten our economy and the future prosperity of America!

Congressman Mitchell cannot stand on his own record. He refuses to even discuss it.

And we know why. Because it’s a record that the voters of Arizona reject.
That’s why we continue to lead Mitchell in the polls.

If Congressman Mitchell won’t fight for Arizona, then it’s time for a U.S. Representative who will.

David Schweikert understands that prosperity comes from economic freedom, not the big government, big taxing, big spending agenda Congressman Mitchell has supported.

We are raising the resources to fight and win this battle for the future of our country – That means, your contribution of any amount between $1 and $2,400 will make in difference in the next few minutes!

Congressman Mitchell is liberal, negative, and wrong.
That’s why together, we’re going to send him and his boss Nancy Pelosi packing!
