QUEEN CREEK MAYOR GAIL BARNEY ENDORSES SEN. JOHN MCCAIN FOR RE-ELECTION

Phoenix, AZ – U.S. Senator John McCain’s re-election campaign today announced that Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney has endorsed Sen. McCain for re-election. Mayor Barney joined Sen. McCain at a town hall in Queen Creek earlier this afternoon.“Queen Creek and Arizona need John McCain in the United States Senate,” said Mayor Gail Barney.

“Sen. McCain has a great track record of working with Queen Creek and he understands our issues. He has always been helpful, accessible and open to the needs of his constituents. I urge the Queen Creek community to get behind Sen. McCain so he can continue to fight for Arizona in Washington.”

Mayor Barney served as a Queen Creek Town Council member from 2002 until he was elected mayor earlier this year. Currently he serves on the Maricopa Association of Governments’ Transportation Policy Committee and as liaison to Pinal County and the Central Arizona Association of Governments. Mayor Barney is a lifelong resident of Queen Creek and operates his family farm in the community.

“I am proud to have the support of Mayor Barney in my campaign,” said Sen. John McCain. “Gail has already accomplished so much for Queen Creek as a Town Council member, and I know he’ll do great things as mayor. I look forward to partnering with Mayor Barney as we work together to make our state stronger, safer and more prosperous."
