Yesterday, Senator McCain made clear that if the President does not ask Congress for the National Guard at the border that he and Senator Kyl will make the request.
Senator McCain shared his comments with KGUN 9 On You Side.
Also, in other developments, General Craig McKinley (Chief of the National Guard Bureau) states that "We will do what we're asked to do... The President and Secretary of Defense will tell me when the time is right."
See video below. It is time for the President to act. If he does not, Senator McCain has made is clear that he and Senator Kyl will ask Congress to act directly.
