SEN. SCOTT BROWN WELCOMED TO ARIZONA BY LARGE GROUP OF JOHN McCAIN SUPPORTERS TODAY!

A Standing Room Only enthusiastic crowd met Sens. JOHN McCAIN & SCOTT BROWN this morning over at the McCain 2010 Headquarters!

The Big Tent philosophy of the Republican Party is officially open for business in Arizona.

At the McCain campaign headquarters this morning, an invitation only crowd of loyal supporters was treated to an inspiring and energetic meet & greet with Arizona Senator John McCain and new Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown.

Senator McCain beamed with pride, as he spoke about the character and courage Brown displayed throughout his unprecedented campaign and victory as he was elected to replace longtime Democrat Senator Ted Kennedy. McCain had the crowd laughing yet saying “no” as he claimed that everyone was really there to see Brown and not him.

(SCOOP: PM did hear more than a few serious swoons from some of the Republican ladies in the house. One GOP women’s group member had to turn away and catch her breath for a moment before approaching Senator Brown for a handshake, greeting and photo. She was overcome with a momentary bout of campaign fever.)

Senator Brown minced no words when telling the crowd what they already knew – Senator John McCain is one of a kind.

Brown said that prior to deciding to enter the Massachusetts
race, McCain was the only Republican senator who invited him to his office, sincerely listened to him and took immediate action to help him get elected.

In an election upset heard ‘round the world, Senator Scott Brown had the full blessing and true allegiance of only one United States Senator. Arizona’s John McCain. Senator McCain was humbled when Brown graciously said he was both his friend and mentor. PM heard a decorated Veteran quietly say, “Well, that’s who John is”.

As he ended his speech, Senator Brown made a definitive remark that had the standing-room-only devotees nodding their heads and smiling in agreement.

Brown said, “The Republican Party is a Big Tent in the area
I come from.”

At that moment, the crowd was quickened with a huge dose of Republican reality.

Many McCain supporters turned and winked or grinned at one another, a spontaneous and unexpected reaction that said more about the true heart of Arizona Republicans than any media story ever could.

McCain was the one who led the fight against Obama's attempt to take over health care and the entire economy. He was the one who kept it from being rammed down our throats until Scott Brown arrived. There's no way I'd vote for anyone but McCain!!

McCain and Scott Brown seem to be the energy we need to keep Obama and his horrible healthcare plan at bay. Glad they are on the same team. JD couldn't do what McCain is doing for our country right now!

I am with Scott, the only chance we have at a strong fight against this left administration is to have McCain remain in Washington fighting against the mounting deficit!

Right on, Big D - "the only chance we have at a strong fight against this left administration is to have McCain remain in Washington fighting against the mounting deficit!" The last thing that Arizona or this nation needs is a marginal performer like JD trying to ride a populist wave.
