HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION OF CENTRAL ARIZONA ENDORSES SENATOR JOHN McCAIN FOR RE-ELECTION

PHOENIX, AZ – U.S. Senator John McCain’s re-election campaign today announced that the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona has endorsed Senator John McCain for re-election to the United States Senate.

“John McCain’s leadership in opposition to the job-killing policies of the current Administration is essential if we are going to see a return to economic stability in our country,” said Connie Wilhelm, President of the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona.

“John McCain has never lost sight of what is in the best interest of Arizona. We are proud to support his
re-election to the United States Senate.”

Wilhelm cited in particular McCain’s proposal to use a pool of federal money to purchase under-water loans and to renegotiate loan terms for homeowners whose mortgages are in default.

“Senator McCain understands that targeting TARP money to address the home mortgage problem would do far more for economic recovery than giving it to Wall Street bankers,” Wilhelm said.

“Getting our economy back on track is my number one priority in the United States Senate,” said Senator John McCain.

“I fight every day for the pro-growth policies we need to unleash our dynamic private sector to put Arizonans back to work. I am proud to have the support of the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, and look forward working with them as we fight to get our economy going again and help Arizona families who are struggling.”
